Derbyshire Dales Cross Country

Lady Manners School competed at the Annual Derbyshire Dales Cross Country competition in December. They ran alongside Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Anthony Gell School and Highfields School.

Lady Manners School had six teams competing, four of which scooped first places.  Our teams achieved the following results:

  • 2nd place: Year 7 girls
  • 2nd place: Year 7 boys
  • 1st place: Junior girls (Years 8 & 9)
  • 1st place: Junior boys (Years 8 & 9)
  • 1st place: Inter girls (Years 10 & 11)
  • 1st place: Inter boys (Years 10 & 11)

Overall, these results led to Lady Manners School being crowned Derbyshire Dales Cross Country Champions.

The following runners have qualified to compete in the County Championships on Saturday 21 January:

  • Year 7: Atticus Cooke, Amelia Corke, Albert Elphick, Lucia Hancock, Harrison Watson, Clementine Wright, Rina Yokoyama-Nichols
  • Years 8 and 9: Jocelyn Baynes, Charlotte Bradshaw, Leoni Cragg, Joe Currie, Michaela Dick, Jacob Hallas, Bronwyn Lessiter, Ned Shaw, Eleanor Wilson, Elizabeth Webster, Callum Williams
  • Years 10 and 11: Lydia Balls, Sebastian Baynes, Michael Brown, Finn Carter, Oscar Dale, Nicholas Edwards, Ava Holden, James Marsden, Jenny Marshall, Ellie Ryan, Emily Shell, Gabrielle Yardley
