The Parents’ Association Car Boot Sale is running at school this Sunday 22 April from 7.30am (7.00am for sellers) to 1.00pm.
A decision last Friday, by the Peak District National Park Authority, to approve plans for 30 new affordable homes to be built, is one of the final steps in our journey to improve the sports facilities that we offer our students, and within the wider community.

The election for the four Parent Governor vacancies took place on 1 November. As a result Mrs Emma Goldsack, Mrs Laura McNulty, Mr Keith Shivers and Dr Chasca Twyman have been elected to the Board of Governors.
It's not just new students who have been welcomed to Lady Manners School this term. New heads of Maths, English and Languages are bringing with them a fresh perspective to the school.
GCSE results this year show that Year 11 students have performed well at Lady Manners School in Bakewell. In the core subjects where there is a new grading system this year 85% of students gained at least a ‘4’ in Maths (nearest equivalent to Grade C) and 80% gained at least a ‘4’ in at least one of their English GCSEs.
Lady Manners School Sixth Form students have, once again, added to the school’s consistently strong record of A Level success.
This year, as every year, students at Lady Manners School have benefitted from the generous donations made by the Parents’ Association. The school is indebted to the parents who help to make this happen.
The weather favoured us on Sports Day, held yesterday, Tuesday 20 June. Conditions were ideal for a wonderful day of sport, which saw Glossop lift the house trophy with a lead over Barker of just 1 ½ points!
Lady Manners School Catering Team has, once again, been awarded the top Food Hygiene Rating of five by the Food Standards Agency.
In light of recent communications about school funding – both at a national level and about our school in particular - the Lady Manners School Parents’ Association hosted a discussion on this topic at their meeting on Tuesday 4 April. We are delighted that a wide range of parents attended and a variety of views existed about the best way to move forward.
Work is underway to put together an individual exam timetable for each GCSE and A Level student, which will include seating details and any special arrangements. These will be provided to students before the Easter holiday.
