A Level Success

Lady Manners School Sixth Form students have celebrated a strong set of A Level results in the very unusual circumstances presented this year.

Following a Government announcement on Monday 17 August, it has now been confirmed that the predicted grades given by schools (ie the centre assessed grades) will now be used to award final grades to our students. Results will be re-issued as soon as we receive confirmation from examination boards.

Students are to be congratulated for their hard work and high achievements during this difficult year. A large proportion of grades were awarded in the range A*-B and a significant number of students achieved the very highest grades of A or A* in each of the A Level subjects that they studied, including academic and vocational qualifications. Students will now use their grades to progress to their post-18 destinations.

Staff at Lady Manners School now bid a fond farewell to this group of sixth formers. They will be remembered not only for their positivity and resilience in the face of challenging circumstances, but for their significant contributions to life at the school.

Headteacher Gary Peat commented: “Congratulations to all of our A Level students who have worked extremely hard and achieved results to be proud of in very unusual circumstances. On behalf of all staff and governors at Lady Manners School, I wish them the very best of luck in their next exciting steps and look forward to hearing about their inevitable successes in the future.”
