Support Services Assistants (Catering) - Re-advertisement

  • Grade 3 £17,710 per annum pro rata
    • Post 1: Permanent
      • 13.5 hours per week, 38.2 weeks per year
      • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10.30am to 3.30pm
      • Actual salary is £5,419 per annum
    • Post 2: Permanent
      • 10.5 hours per week, 38.2 weeks per year

      • Actual salary is £4,215 per annum

Join our highly popular and successful catering department to provide an exciting range of healthy meals to students and staff. We are looking for people who work well in a team, can work to deadlines and have excellent customer service skills. Ideally you should have experience of working in a catering environment although full training will be provided.

Apprentice School Business Assistant
  • Closing date: 9 December 2019
  • Apprentice minimum wage during the first year of the apprenticeship
  • Temporary for one year in the first instance
  • 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time plus two additional weeks)
  • 8.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday

You will join our team of School Business Assistants to assist in ensuring the smooth-running of the school through a range of administrative activities. You will be working in a key role on reception each afternoon to provide an efficient and welcoming service to students, parents/carers and members of the public. The role will also include administrative duties such as data entry, supporting meetings and events and record-keeping. A customer-focused, “can-do” attitude is essential and you should also have excellent ICT and communication skills, attention to detail and good organisational skills. You should be able to maintain confidentiality, relate well to others and work as a team. Training in Business and Administration will be provided by Learning Unlimited (Chesterfield College). Actual salary based on working 40 weeks per year is £6,608 per annum.

Casual and Relief Staff

Relief Support Services Assistant

Duties include clearing, preparing and serving food and supervising students. Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous although full training will be provided. The rate of pay will be £9.18 per hour plus £1.33 per hour in lieu of annual leave/bank holidays.

Invigilator

Duties include assisting with the preparation of the examination room, supervising students during the examination and ensuring examinations run in accordance with rules and regulations. The rate of pay will be £9.36 per hour plus £1.36 per hour in lieu of annual leave/bank holidays.
