We are currently seeking the following, to join our team:

Pastoral Manager (Sixth Form)
  • Closing date: 2 September 2019; interview date: 16 August 2019
  • 30 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
  • Grade 8 £22,628 to £24,455 per annum pro rata

Our popular and successful Sixth Form has been in the top 25% of sixth forms in the country for progress and quality of teaching over the past three years. The role involves working as part of a team to support the progress and development of our Sixth Form students. With 75% of our students progressing to higher education, a key part of this role is to assist with the UCAS process. Other duties will include daily monitoring of attendance, providing pastoral support to individual students, managing the Sixth Form bursary and raising aspirations fund and facilitating independent learning in the study area. You should have experience of working in a secondary school or FE college, ideally in a pastoral role, with knowledge of the academic and social issues experienced by young people. Knowledge of the higher education application process would be advantageous. Actual salary is £16,166 to £17,417 per annum.

Food Technology Technician
  • Closing date: 27 August 2019; interview date: w/c 2 September 2019
  • 24 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
  • Grade 5 £18,426 to £18,794 per annum pro rata

Duties will include preparing equipment and ingredients for practical lessons, ensuring cleanliness of work areas, ordering resources, stock control and supporting students and teachers in lessons. Knowledge of food production techniques and an ability to work flexibly are essential. Actual salary is £9,973 to £10,172 per annum.

Support Services Assistants (Cleaning & Catering) – Relief
  • Closing date: 2 September 2019
  • No guaranteed hours – to cover for absences
  • Grade 3 £10.51 per hour

We are always on the lookout to add to our in-house team of relief Support Services Assistants in the Catering and Cleaning departments. Hours are available between 6 am and 7.15 pm depending on need.

Relief Lettings Assistant
  • Closing date: 2 September 2019
  • No guaranteed hours – mainly weekend working with occasional evening work
  • Grade 4 £10.72 per hour

Our newly-developed all weather pitch will be completed by September. We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to ensure that lettings of the pitch and other areas of the school run smoothly. The post will initially be on an 'as and when needed' basis but we hope that the customer base will increase to enable the role to become permanent. Duties will include unlocking and securing facilities, meeting the needs of the customers, some maintenance work.

Art Technician
  • Closing date: 27 August 2019
  • 5¾ hours per week, 38 weeks per year
  • Grade 5 £18,426 to £18,794 per annum pro rata
  • Temporary until 31 December 2019

These hours could be attached to the Food Technology Technician post which is also advertised. You do not need any specialist Art knowledge or skills to undertake the role. We are looking for someone who can help to keep classrooms and working areas tidy and organised. You will need to work using your own initiative in an efficient manner. The ability to form good working relationships with others is also essential.

Actual salary is £2,389 to £2,437 per annum.

Casual Staff

Relief Support Services Assistant

Duties include clearing, preparing and serving food and supervising students. Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous although full training will be provided. The rate of pay will be £9.18 per hour plus £1.33 per hour in lieu of annual leave/bank holidays.

Invigilator

Duties include assisting with the preparation of the examination room, supervising students during the examination and ensuring examinations run in accordance with rules and regulations. The rate of pay will be £9.36 per hour plus £1.36 per hour in lieu of annual leave/bank holidays.
